Great Sermons in Church History (in the Sanctuary): Our Associate Pastor, Mark Trigsted, will survey church history through a unique lens: famous sermons from centuries past. If you come to this class, you learn about many significant figures and how God used their ministry to build his church. You’ll also discover the central issues dominating various eras in the life of God’s people. Come to hear from giants like Polycarp, John Chrysostom, Bernard of Clairvaux, John Hus, George Whitefield, Charles Spurgeon, and many more.
Philippians (in Room 101): Nate Sung, one of our ruling elders, will lead a verse-by-verse study of Philippians. Joy in Jesus Christ erupts from Paul’s pen. The apostle’s exhortations also show us what it means to pursue humility and unity in light of eternity. Everything in the letter shows you how to “let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Jesus Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel” (Phil. 1:27).
