Church Center holds real information about you and your household, so it's fair to ask who can see it and how it's kept safe. Here are the questions we're asked most often.
How is access to Church Center secured?
When you create your Church Center profile you provide a valid phone number, email address, or both, which we use to verify your identity and secure your login. Logging in ensures you receive the communications relevant to you, and keeps sensitive communications like prayer requests limited to our members.
Non-members can access Church Center, but only see public church events, information, and general announcements.
Is everything on Church Center public?
No — Church Center has both public and private content.
Public content includes general announcements, signups, and open meetings such as Bible Engagement Groups or PC Kids ministry. Anyone can view this.
Private content includes information belonging to a specific Redeemer group, and is only visible to members of that group who have logged in.
Is my contact information shared publicly?
No. Your phone number and email are not available to the public through Church Center — they're stored in a private database.
You control what you share with other members. Some church groups, such as Choir or Sunday School classes, can see each other's contact information so members can communicate with one another.
If you have questions regarding your contact information, please email churchcenter@redeemermckinney.com
How is members' sensitive information protected?
Planning Center, who make Church Center, use encryption, coding best practices, secure data centers, and third-party validation to protect personal information. You can read more in their Terms and Privacy policy.
